Noob W/A in need of damage control!
Hey guys,
I've got a W/A but i'm not inflicting the kind of damage i need to be in PvE to survive without dying lots and getting loads of -% etc. I only have Factions so far so some of the skills listed on other threads i can't find or have access to so kinda left out in the cold to die alone....XD
Any advice on the build, attribute point allocations and weapons would be great.
currently using blugeoner 17-30 with +20, +10 while health above 50%, which isnt long!! Its unfortunately the better and more damage making weapon i've got so had stuck with that so far but anything you can suggest.
Thanks, sorry for the essay!

I can't think of a good W/A hammer build that uses Factions skills only, but I can suggest some elites you might want to look at.
If you don't mind switching to an axe, [[Cleave] is pretty good damage spam. [[Devastating Hammer] is a good elite for hammer users. [[Battle Rage] if you don't like your elite based on your weapon and it's also good for building up adrenaline really fast so if your bar has a lot of adrenaline attacks, it means more attack spamming. [[Triple Chop] is a nice aoe attack with big damage, again if you don't mind switching to axe. [[Whirling Axe] is nice for spamming. Factions have some of the best sword elites for PvE if you want to take a look at [[Dragon Slash] and [[Quivering Blade].

Check if your Hammer requirement matches your Attribute invesment in Hammer Mastery, also buy the armor with the highest rating.

First thing I'd do is get a max damage weapon.
If you really want to stick with hammers, you can either get one from Kegai in Wajjun Bazaar or craft your own by going to Manzo in Kaineng Center. If you want to craft one, you'll need 5k, 30 iron, 25 wood and 5 steel.

i've looked for Dragon Slash but cant find it at the skills peeps, in fact i cant see any of the ones you mentioned! XD. i'm not that far through the game so maybe further on i can get them but stuck so far, only up to Kaineng Center but lvl 20 somehow! just doesnt show in the skills so when doing the missions and quests i'm just not getting very far
as i'm not doing too well not getting much money etc so got what i can funds wise

D-Slash + all those other skills mentioned are elite skills and you can only get them by capturing the elite from a boss with a Signet of capture.
Information on which boss has what elite and boss locations are in the wiki. Check it out.

Max armor > Max weapon, I don't know if it's relevant but thought I'd say it just in case.
That said, if you only have Factions, Hammers don't have a lot to offer. The stronger PvE Hammer Elite skills are both from Prophecies, so the best advice I could give you is to switch to Axe/Sword.
Keep in mind that Core (Elite) skills are available to you.
Post your build for improvement, good luck.

The best for Factions only is Axe/Sword.
Axe has Triple Chop, Sword has DRAGON SLASH (woot woot woot), and the most important of all - Save Yourselves, which makes the game super-easy.

Well, first of all, I'm available to contact any time in-game to help you sort things out, always happy to help. However, off the top of my head...
Strength, Shadow Arts, and Weapon mastery of your choice should do nicely.
Look into Shroud of Distress and Shadow Refuge for saving yourself, both do rather nicely.
Personally, I'd use either Axe or Sword if I were you.
Triple Chop or Dragon Slash are honestly your best choices with only factions.
If you went axe, Triple Chop, Cyclone Axe, Dismember, Executioner's Strike, Disrupting Chop, Tiger Stance, Shadow Refuge, and Shroud of Distress is possibly the best bar I can think of using W/A and factions only.
EDIT : You really should get nightfall if you can, There's a lot of really useful warrior skills there... Like Flail and Whirlwind Attack, for two.
(Also, PM Me in-game sometime, I'll give ya a max damage axe or sword, and a max armor shield if ya need it =D)

Tbh it isn't really that good.
Ok, from the start:
[[Healing Signet] - No Nightfall means no [[Lion's Comfort], which is bad. HS requires tactics, which Warriors don't really have a use for, though you're running it without points? You're probably going to lose more health than you gain. Get half decent monks and you won't need this.
[[Resurrection Signet] - If you need it, keep it, I suppose. Once again, if you have half decent monks you won't need this.
[["For Great Justice!" (PvE)] - This is good.
[[Sever Artery]/[[Gash] - This is good.
[[Flashing Blades] - This is pretty bad.First reason -> It's in your elite slot.
Second reason -> 10 seconds usually won't help you. [[Endure Pain] would probably do a better job of saving your life (EP is still a bad skill though).
Third reason -> It's a stance. Bye-bye +50% base damage and +50% adrenaline from your IAS.
Fourth reason -> It's too expensive. [[Hamstring] -> If something runs away you can swap targets or just follow it - nothing in normal mode should give you trouble because it runs. Besides, it's way too expensive, especially when it only effects one target.
[[Power Attack] -> Your bar has so much energy in it already I doubt this even gets used. [[Standing Slash] is adrenaline and does more damage. So is [[Silverwing Slash].
Something like this:
["For Great Justice!" (PvE)][Standing Slash][Sun and Moon Slash][Dragon Slash]["Save Yourselves" (Luxon)][Frenzy][Dash][Resurrection Signet]
["For Great Justice!" (PvE)][Sever Artery][Gash][Sun and Moon Slash][Dragon Slash]["Save Yourselves" (Luxon)][Frenzy][Dash]
Swap [[Frenzy] and [[Dash] for [[Tiger Stance] and [[Resurrection Signet] if you need to.

Marty is FTW. Srsly.
Marty's suggestions here are probably the best you are going to find for a Core/Factions build. Factions has the best Sword skills in the game, hands down. You're also in luck since [["Save Yourselves!" (Kurzick)]/[["Save Yourselves!" (Luxon)] are available here.

Win.
The other build spends too much adren on Sever/Gash imho, spamming DSlash nets you equal if not more DPS. In this light I'd also be tempted to replace [standing slash] with [savage slash] in above build.
EDIT: the downside of DSlash is that you're totally screwed if someone blocks you. Stay away from Am Fah Assassins, or switch to Axe

[healing [email protected]][signet of capture][for great justice][tiger [email protected]][sun and moon slash][sever [email protected]][endure [email protected]][silverwing [email protected]]
Kso...
Marty said [sever artery][gash] was good. He was wrong. [gash] is good, [sever artery] a necessary evil.
[tiger stance]... I suppose it takes time to develop Bravery. Swap it out for [frenzy] as soon as you've gathered the nerve.
[healing signet]. Get rid of it. Even [shadow refuge] is better, and that sucks too.
[endure pain]... waste of a skill slot tbh. get rez instead. If you must tank, blocking does is better, but tanking is ftl anyway.

This is true (I was referring to the combo, not each individually). @OP, the deep wound is what you want, bleeding is just the means to get it (i.e, sever is there FOR gash, no gash means sever doesn't need to be (and shouldn't) be there). Bleeding gives 3 health degeneration, which is 6 health loss per second. That's not going to do anything significant unless your team does pitiful damage. Deep Wound kills stuff, bleeding does not.

I agree with no Heros I would use healing signet unless in real group Faction Hench Monks are the worst in allcampaigns even Alesia is 10 times better than any of them.Factions does have the best sword skills forget Axe that is Prophecies unless farming.
